When You Don't Know What to Do
There's a quiet ache in not knowing. You turn the decision over in your mind, list the pros and cons, and still feel stuck. Proverbs 3:5–6 doesn't shame us for not having it figured out. It redirects where we look for the answer. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." Notice it doesn't say don't think. It says don't lean only on your thinking. God's wisdom is wider than the room your mind can search. The promise is that when you bring your decisions to Him instead of relying on your own limited view, He will make your path straight — not always easy, but clear.
One practical step
Write down the one decision weighing on you most. Under it, write: "I'm asking God before I'm asking anyone else." Then pray about it before you talk to another person about it.
Prayer
Lord, I don't have the whole picture, but You do. I'm bringing this decision to You first. Make my next step clear, and help me trust You with the parts I can't see. Amen.
